Jamaica, Emancipation Park

Emancipation Park was opened in 2002 and is named in honor of the 170th anniversary of the celebration of the abolition of slavery in Jamaica. Everywhere in the park there are elements of African culture – sculptures, benches, a fountain decorated in this style. The park is also a botanical garden – here you can see the national plants of Jamaica. This is a favorite place for picnics from local residents.
