Finland, Kalevala Village

Kalevala Village is an open-air museum dedicated to Finnish history and culture. The village is built according to traditional construction methods.

Dressed in national Finnish costumes, guides talk about tar, discover the secrets of woodcarving masters, talk about traditional fishing and hunting techniques. Here you can also get acquainted with traditional Finnish rites and watch a theatrical performance based on the folk epic Kalevala.

On Christmas, the village is ruled by Santa Claus and his retinue. Children and adults from all over the world gather to meet the real Christmas – a fairy tale and reality – at the same time.

Here you can visit the underground cave with the dwarves, try their magic drink, listen to the Christmas carols and visit the Santa Claus workshop.
