Ethiopia, St.George’s Cathedral

St. George’s Cathedral in Addis Ababa is a temple belonging to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. The cathedral was built in 1896 by captured Italians. In 1937, the temple was burned, but in four years it was restored. At the temple a museum is opened, where you can see the imperial throne of Ethiopian lords, as well as local weapons – sabers, tridents and unique helmets decorated with lion’s manes.
