Ethiopia, Ethiopian National Museum

The Ethiopian National Museum is located in the center of Addis Ababa and includes four sections. The archaeological and paleoanthropological departments of the museum place their collections on the ground floor of the building.

Here you can see artifacts from archaeological excavations and remains of early hominids, including the world-famous Lucy – a representative of Australopithecus afar, who lived more than three million years ago. On the floor above you can see an exposition of items related to the ancient and medieval period of history, including personal belongings and regalia of the emperors of Ethiopia.

On the upper floors there are collections of paintings and objects of arts and crafts, as well as weapons and musical instruments.
