This place became the center of public life of the citizens in the 19th century.
In the middle of the 20th, the embankment of Simon Bolivar turned into a dangerous place – drugs and weapons were sold here, thieves and robbers lived.
At the end of the 20th century, the authorities decided to equip the embankment and turn it into a wonderful promenade with museums, fountains, shopping centers, parks and monuments, restaurants and cafes.
