Ecuador, Embankment Malecon 2000

Malecon 2000 is a well-developed quay along the Guayas River in the city of Guayaquil.

This place became the center of public life of the citizens in the 19th century.

In the middle of the 20th, the embankment of Simon Bolivar turned into a dangerous place – drugs and weapons were sold here, thieves and robbers lived.

At the end of the 20th century, the authorities decided to equip the embankment and turn it into a wonderful promenade with museums, fountains, shopping centers, parks and monuments, restaurants and cafes.
