Croatia, Arsenal Zadar
Arsenal Zadar was built in the 16th century, after it was expanded and updated already in 1752. This is evidenced by a commemorative plaque on one of the walls of the Arsenal. The structure was strategically important for preserving the dominance of the “queen of the sea” – Venice.
The massive two-story Arsenal building with spacious rooms was built next to the city walls and named the Great Arsenal to distinguish it from the Small Arsenal, which is several hundred meters away. During the Second World War, the building was badly damaged, but later restored. For some time in the building was the first public theater in Croatia.
Today, the Arsenal Zadar has become a multifunctional space with a total area of 1800 sq.m. A special negotiation platform has been set up to exchange views, where everyone is given the opportunity to state the topic, make a report and listen to the views of opponents.
Also there is an opportunity to just listen to good music. Arsenal is also suitable for cultural events, concerts, presentations, receptions, private parties, exhibitions, commercial events and various conferences.
In addition, Arsenal attracts a large number of tourists as a monument of ancient architecture.
